NOTICE TO RESIDENCY CLIENTS

Effective October 1st, 2021, all applicants for residency that are subject to the immigration medical examination are required to provide proof to their Civil Surgeon that they have received a full-course of the Covid-19 vaccine before the Civil Surgeon can complete and sign the form I-639, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record.

Please note, that this requirement does not apply to any applicants that already have a signed medical examination or to clients who are seeking Removal of Conditions on Residency or Naturalization.

USCIS may grant blanket exceptions to this requirement for applicants who are not age appropriate (currently, those under the age of 12), individuals who cannot be vaccinated due to medical conditions and in instances where the applicant is in an area where there are limitations on vaccine availability. Additionally, those with religious or moral objections may be able to file an I-601 Application for Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility.

If you have any questions regarding the new requirements, please reach out to your case manager for additional guidance.

Thank you,
